A really beautiful 16km 15km mixed path, track, bush and urban walk around South Head and the nearby harbour & coastal suburbs in Sydney’s east.
Highlights include Vaucluse House, Parsley Bay, Shark Beach, Nielson Park, Hermitage Foreshore Track, South Head, Hornby Lighthouse, Watson’s Bay, Macquarie Lighthouse, spectacular ocean & harbour views, and more. This is a loop walk and This walk involves a short bus ride at the end to make it a loop, so don’t forget to bring your Opal card. It will take 5 to 6 hours including stops to complete.
Meet at the Grumpy Baker Cafe (opens at 7am) in Vaucluse. Free unrestricted street parking nearby. Public buses 324 or 380 are also an option. Tap the Meetup Button below for directions.
Bring snacks, water & a picnic lunch to eat along the way.
We pass by at least 5 good swimming beaches so bring your bathers & towel if you want to have a quick dip on route.
