DETAILS
Changes in blue made after check walk 07 Nov 24.
A pretty, quiet and remote 12.5km walk through the Royal National Park in Sydney’s south between Waterfall & Heathcote. It’s along bush tracks and fire trails, and will take 4-5 hours. Highlights are the beautiful bush, Uloola Falls, and the amazing Karloo Pools. The top pool we visit is the most popular. With an additional 2km side trip we can visit 3 further pools.
This is a loop walk starting with a one stop train journey to the walk start. Meet at the Coffee House opposite Heathcote station (opens from 7:30am). Tap the Meetup Button below for directions. Parking is available on street at the station or nearby at the Heathcote Hotel here. We’ll then catch the 8:24am train to Waterfall and walk back.
Don’t forget to bring snacks, poles and your Opal card. If it’s hot, or if you’re just a serial swimmer, bring your bathers too and we can have a refreshing dip at Karloo Pools.
Afterwards, depending on time and interest, we can share a late lunch at the Heathcote Hotel or other local establishment.

SHORT COURSE OPTION
