NBREA RULES

This page outlines the expectations and understandings for all participants in NBREA adventures.

TOP PRIORITY

1. Above all else NBREA expects care, courtesy, respect, support, tolerance, and privacy from all participants, and to all participants and fellow human beings. Offensive or inappropriate conversation, language or behavior with, to or about anyone, is not acceptable.

2. Walkers acknowledge and participate knowing they may encounter many dangerous and life threatening hazards including but not limited to snakes, spiders, ticks, leeches, and other animals & insects; unstable, uneven and slippery tracks, paths and creek or river crossings; fallen and falling trees and rocks; unprotected track and cliff edges; busy roads and road users; and the like.

3. To help you in an emergency, all participants must prepare and give us an Emergency Envelope at the beginning of each adventure. We will return it to you at the end of each adventure. For full details about this safety initiative, please refer here. Note, you are responsible for all costs related to your accident.
4. Walkers are asked to realistically assess their capability of doing or continuing an adventure. If you’re unsure, do not hesitate to speak out and discuss it with NBREA.
   
   NBREA reserves the right to refuse the involvement or to cease the involvement of a participant if in it’s opinion:
   • The participant is not capable of tackling the adventure or part thereof;  or
   • It would be unsafe for a participant to be involved, or to continue;  or
   • The participant’s involvement or continued involvement would impact negatively on other participants.
   
   Participants who are unable to complete an adventure for whatever reason are responsible for organising and paying all costs of exiting. There are no refunds for uncompleted adventures.
   
   Walkers are responsible for using their own judgement and only tackling what they know they are capable of doing. Do not hesitate to speak out. If in the view of NBREA it is unsafe for a participant to be involved or to continue, that participant’s involvement can be refused, or will be ceased immediately.
   
5. NBREA reserves the right to change or cancel an adventure due to dangerous track or weather conditions.
6. Extreme care and good judgement will be taken at all times, but NBREA does not accept any liability for any accidents, and heaven forbid, any serious or fatal injuries that occur during an adventure.
7. Any advice given by NBREA are suggestions only and based on experience and information commonly available.
8. NBREA would like everyone to socially connect, and to have a safe, enjoyable, and an amazing experience.
