ADVENTURE REPORT
It was a beautiful and rather warm Sydney day today, but that didn’t deter 19 keen walkers tackling the very popular coastal walk from Bondi to Coogee. The scenery didn’t disappoint with amazing, dramatic and postcard perfect views as we rambled along the path. Around each corner another beautiful beach, ocean pool, cove, or rocky headland … Bondi, Tamarama, Bronte, Clovelly, Gordon’s Bay, Coogee, and finally Wylie’s Baths.

The path was busy and the beaches and coastal parks were buzzing with humanity. Three of us had a pre-walk swim & most had a swim at Whiley’s afterwards. A refreshing way to bookend the walk and to cool down for lunch.

It was a fantastic day with four new faces joining the group for the first time. Thankyou Aimee, Alex, Barb, BruceR, Carmel, Carolyn, Charm, Di, Dyese, Ezra, Farhad, Jacquie, John, LisaF, Mary-Lou, Narelle, Sandra, and Sue for your great company & friendship.

Special thanks to Mary-Lou for the route & date suggestion, and to Sandra, Bruce, & Barb for being involved despite enduring 3 odd hours of public transport travel both to & from. 👏

In closing Rosie & I would like to wish everyone in the NBREA family a very Happy New Year. Here’s to your good health and many more exciting adventures in 2025.

Yours in adventure Nick

DETAILS
A casual & leisurely 8.5km walk along the coast from Bondi to Coogee in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. It should take us about 2 hours. We’ll conclude with a swim and lunch at the characterful Wylie’s Baths for those who are interested.

If you’re not up for a walk … you’re very welcome to just come for the swim and/or lunch only. We should be at the baths around 11:00am. Indicate your intention in your registration comments.

For the walkers … meet outside on the water side of the Bondi Pavilion. There are two cafes attached to the pavilion that should be open at this time. Tap the Meetup button below for directions. Parking may be tricky at both ends of the walk so the use of public transport is strongly recommended … train to Bondi Junction, then various bus options to Bondi Beach, and then the 350 bus from Coogee back to Bondi Junction.

Bring plenty of water and a good sun hat. Hiking poles will not be necessary.

Optional: Meet up early at 8:30am and join me for a swim at Bondi. Let me know if you’re in with a comment in your registration.
