ADVENTURE REPORT
A small group of seven ventured out last Saturday morning to walk the very pretty 9.5km bush track from East Linfield to Castle Cove on Sydney’s Northshore. A couple even used it as a training opportunity and carried heavy laden 12.5kg packs.

The walk followed the Two Creeks Track along Gordon Creek, Middle Harbour & Moore’s Creek. It was a very quiet and secluded track despite being flanked a few hundred metres away on either side by Sydney suburbia.

Highlights included a fern shrouded entry, passing under a rocky outcrop supported by Gaudi’esk stone columns, a lush green & mossy gully, a dark tunnel under a major road, many views of Middle Harbour, a WW1 engineering training camp area, and of course the cafe at Echo Point !!!

The weather held off for most of the adventure but as we approached the cafe it started to rain. It did ease a little by the end of our break, but we decided to take a drier road route rather than the final 1.5km overgrown bush track planned.

Thanks for a great morning and great company Diana, Haidee, Lisa, Marina and Sue.
Yours in adventure Nick
DETAILS
A pretty 8.3km secluded and quiet bush walk from Lindfield to Castle Cove. It’ll take about 3 hours. We follow the two Creeks Track along Gordons Creek to Middle Harbour then meander along the harbour shoreline, under the Roseville Bridge past Echo Point, then to Castle Cove. The route is mainly bush tracks, with ups and downs and great scenery. A treat towards the end is the Echo on the Marina cafe where we can share a drink and light lunch if we’re feeling peckish.
This is a one way walk so a car shuffle will be required before and after. We’ll meet at the end and car pool to the start. Tap the Meetup button below for directions.
Short course options: As we’re in the bush most of the time there aren’t really any options. You could checkout at the cafe towards the end and save 1.5km.
