Past adventure.

ADVENTURE REPORT
The day offered a spectacular, yet challenging walk up and down Kedumba Pass. A magnificent, brilliant blue sky stretched overhead, accompanied by a hot sun.

We stopped at Maxwell’s Slab Hut, the grave and read the Ode to Maxwell, then the brick homestead remains. We sat by the river which was so peaceful and picturesque.

All day the wildlife was prolific, kangaroos, a goanna, snakes and an abundance of birds. It was indeed a walk that was both beautiful and brutal. Walking with such wonderful and likeminded friends is very special and to be treasured.

Thank you Maggie, Marian, Barbara and Nick for a fabulous and memorable day.

Yours in adventure Rosie

DETAILS
Take a walk in the Blue Mountains! The open and wide fire trail leads you down to the babbling Kedumba River and campground. Don’t worry, there are no stairs, and while it is a bit steep on the way back, you can handle it easily if you go at your own pace. Trekking poles can make your adventure even more enjoyable. The round trip is about 21km.
There is a section of well-maintained gravel road to get to the start of the walk. No need for a 4WD. We can car pool from Wentworth Falls train station for those who would like a lift. Please reach out if this is you.
As an added extra you could follow on to do the Six Foot Track Camping adventure on 7 Nov. You would need to arrange your own accommodation on the night of 6 Nov if you chose to stay in the mountains.
