STOP PRESS 31 Jan 25:
Just found out that the Dee Why to Manly fun run is on tomorrow morning too 😬, so it’s going to be busier than normal around Manly.  For all those driving, please be aware that car parking will be difficult. Packing a cut lunch is highly recommended too.

A 15km 14km mixed urban & bush walk from Manly Wharf to Shelly Beach and up and around North Head and back to the wharf. It’ll take about 4-5  5 hours.

There are opportunities for a swim along the way or at Manly harbour beach upon our return. We can lunch at a nearby establishment afterwards for those who are interested and able.

Meet at West End Cafe at the start of the concourse, northern side (opens at 6:30am). Meet on the concourse in front of Manly Wharf. Tap the Meetup Point button below for directions. Alternatively, meet at Circular Quay Wharf 3 at 8:00am and catch the 8:10am ferry. (Let me know your meetup plan in your registration comment.)

Bring plenty of water, sunhat, snacks, and hiking poles. Bring extra food for lunch in case we decide to stop along the way. Or use one of the 3 cafes spread along the route.

SHORT COURSE OPTION
Public bus route 161 has 3 stops on North Head with a service every 30mins or so. There is a shuttle bus in & out of Q-Station too. Shortcuts can also be taken to bypass sections of the walk. Let me know if you’re struggling or just want a shorter course and we can work something out.
