The last thing you want to do is feel guilty about how you spent 2023 and what you should have or could have done.  Come for a walk with friends, breathe in the gorgeous mountain air, and get a workout before your New Year’s celebrations.

A medium challenging walking track that has a historical mining heritage and rewards with scenic views over the Jamison Valley. This is an out and back walk with a distance of about 12.3km.

Park and meet at Narrow Neck Lookout. Park in the grassy spare block just before the Lookout. Click the Meetup Point button below for directions. From there we’ll walk down onto the Narrow Neck Plateau, then down the Golden Stairs and across to the Ruined Castle.

There is a bush toilet near Ruined Castle. Bring a picnic lunch, water, snacks and your own first aid kit. Dress in layers and bring a rain jacket.
