ADVENTURE REPORT
Our first NBREA Hikeabout in Sydney. After a coffee and car shuffle to the start, 18 enthusiastic walkers set off on a 12km bush walk in Sydney’s inner west from Chatswood to Top Ryde. The weather was glorious and the scenery didn’t disappoint.

We walked along narrow bush tracks, went up and down rocky stairs, and crossed creeks on stepping stones and wooden bridges. We past mossy rocks, ferns and lush undergrowth, tripped on roots, and passed by high sandstone cliffs beside the beautiful Lane Cove River. Followed and crossed creeks and the LCR, passed under and over bridges. Used dirt paths, boardwalks and grassy fields. Much chatter and catchup occurred throughout the walk too.

We reached our final destination after three hours. Some departed while the remainder shared a pub lunch and a celebratory drink or two. A good day was had by all. Thanks everyone.
